About us

Cuisine Romefort is a family business with tradition that represents quality. For more than 30 years, Benoît Romefort has been dealing in copper products, French delicatessen, wine and other cooking utensils. Together with his son Marc, they created their own brand Cuisine Romefort. This brand represents the basic tools in the kitchen: Knives to cut, chopping blocks as a base and pots & pans to prepare the food. Discover the full range of Cuisine Romefort!

Traditional craftsmanship

"In my small boutique in Berlin, Zehlendorf, I sharpened the knives of my customers razor sharp for years. As a trained knife grinder, I convinced both amateur and professional chefs with my robust convex grind in the traditional French style from the knife stronghold of Thiers. In my store I also sold a small selection of cooking utensils."

"Over the years, I sharpened thousands of knives, from cheap disposable items to unique forged pieces. Through sales and many conversations with my customers, I gathered a lot of savoir-faire about their preferences and desires for cookware. While grinding and polishing I explored different knives, blade shapes, grinds and metals; then I decided to make my own knife."

Essential tools for your kitchen

"In the wake of the Corona pandemic, I decided to give up my store. Together with my son Marc, I reoriented: we expanded our online business for kitchen utensils. In addition to our own knives, other products followed, such as pans and pots made of copper, which we sell under our Cuisine Romefort brand. The products offered under this name stand for quality, tradition and proudly bear our family name."

"Rapide we moved into our warehouse in Schönefeld, where besides storage space there is also room for a larger workshop. The grinding shop on the outskirts of Berlin is now well established and even my old regular customers find their way to us. Come and visit us from Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm! You can bring your knives to us for sharpening and look at and buy our products directly on site."
